Mei 2020, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 0.23% Inflation

• Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 67 cities experienced inflation and 23 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 1.20 percent and the highest deflation occurred in Luwuk by 0.39 percent. Palangka Raya ranks 36th highest inflation city at the national level. 

• Deflation in Palangka Raya by 0.23 percent was mainly influenced by the incline in the transportation group price index by 2.06 percent; followed by the nformation, communication, and financial services group by 0.57 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.02 percent;  the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.01 percent. While the group that experienced an decrease in the personal care group and other services group by 0.09 percent;  the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels 0.07 percent; the household equipment and routine maintenance by 0.03 percent; clothing and footwear group of 0.01 percent.

• Inflation rate for May 2020 calendar year is 0.50 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (May 2020 against May 2019) is 1.44 percent.
