June 2023, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 0.27 percent inflation and The Consumer Price Index is about 116.70. Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 78 cities experienced inflation and 12 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura by 1.36 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 113.64. Meanwhile the highest deflation occurred in Sumenep by -0.42 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 117.25..

Inflation in Palangka Raya was influenced by transportation group price by 1.98 percent; the food and beverage/ restaurant supply group by 0.50 percent; household equipment and routine maintenance about 0.27 percent; the education group by 0.05 percent; the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile deflation was influenced by clothing and footwear group by 0.13 percent; the personal care group and other services group by 0.06 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.01. There are group that have no changed are the food, beverage and tobacco group; the health group; the recreation, sports, and culture group.

Inflation rate for  calendar year (January - June 2023) is 1.60 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (June 2023 against June 2022) is 3.91 percent.
