Abstract

Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 66 cities experienced inflation and 24 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sibolga by 1.04 percent and the highest deflation occurred in Manokwari by 1.81 percent. Palangka Raya ranks 62th highest inflation city at the national level.

Inflation in Palangka Raya by 0.02 percent was mainly influenced by the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.60 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.10 percent; health group of 0.06 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.05 percent. While the group that experienced an decrease in the transportation group price by 0.98 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.59 percent; the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels 0.15 percent; the personal care group and other services group by 0.02 percent; and the household equipment and routine maintenance by 0.01 percent.

Deflation rate for October 2020 calendar year is 0.29 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (October 2020 against October 2019) is 0.70 percent.
