January 2023, Palangka Raya
Municipality Experiences 0.13 percent inflation and The Consumer Price Index is
about 115.06. Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 80 cities experienced
inflation and 10 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred
in Gunung Sitoli by 1.87 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 116.79.
Meanwhile the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 0.64 percent with number of Consumer Price
Index about 113.91.

Inflation in Palangka Raya was
influenced by food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.74 percent; the personal
care group and other services group by 0.43 percent; clothing and
footwear group by 0.35 percent; household equipment and routine maintenance
about 0.18 percent; health group by 0.04 percent. Meanwhile deflation was
influenced by transportation group price by 0.78 percent; the recreation,
sports, and culture group by 0.29 percent; the household appliances, water,
electricity and household fuels by 0.22 percent; and the information,
communication, and financial services group by 0.03 percent.

Inflation rate for calendar year (January 2023-December 2022) is 0.13
percent and year-on-year inflation rate (January 2023 against January 2022) is 5.99
percent.
