Abstract
March 2023, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 51 percent inflation and The Consumer Price Index is about 115.73. Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 65 cities experienced inflation and 25 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kupang by 1.30 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 114.61. Meanwhile the highest deflation occurred in Bandung by -1.50 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 114.43.
Inflation in Palangka Raya was influenced by transportation group price by 1.60 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.05 percent; by the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.92 percent; the personal care group and other services group by 0.36 percent; health group by 0.27 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.15 percent; by the food and beverage/ restaurant supply group by 0.10 percent; household equipment and routine maintenance about 0.05 percent; and the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.04 percent. Meanwhile deflation was influenced by clothing and footwear group by 1.10 percent;
Inflation rate for calendar year (January 2023-March 2023) is 0.76 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (March 2023 against March 2022) is 5.93 percent.
