Abstract

August 2022, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 0.28 percent inflation and The Consumer Price Index is about 113.26. Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 11 cities experienced inflation and 79 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon by 0.82 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 114.65 and the lowest inflation occurred in Bekasi by 0.12 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 113.74. Meanwhile the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 1.65 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 115.34 and the lowest deflation occurred in Depok by 0.01 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 1113.29.
Inflation in Palangka Raya was influenced by food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.60 percent; the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.53 percent; household equipment and routine maintenance about 0.30 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.22 percent; the food and beverage/ restaurant supply group by 0.20 percent; the personal care group and other services group by 0.16 percent; transportation group price by 0.10 percent. Meanwhile deflation was influenced by the recreation, sports, and culture group by 3.73 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.30 percent.
Inflation rate for 2022 calendar year (January-August) is 5.03 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (August 2022 against August 2021) is 6.61 percent.
