Abstract

In November 2023, inflation will occur in Palangka Raya City at 0.26 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 117.57. Of the 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 79 cities experienced inflation and 11 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Bandar Lampung at 1.05 percent with a CPI of 118.64, while the highest deflation occurred in Tual at 0.51 percent with a CPI of 118.00.
Inflation was influenced by an increase in the consumer price index value in several expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.66 percent; personal care and other services group at 0.66 percent; transportation group at 0.56 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.04 percent; health group at 0.04 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group of 0.01 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the price index were the clothing and footwear group by 0.37 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.15 percent. The groups that did not experience changes in the consumption price index values were the information, communication and financial services groups; recreation, sports, and cultural groups; and educational groups.
The inflation rate for the calendar year (January - November) 2023 is 2.36 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2023 to November 2022) is 2.58 percent.
