August 2023: Kalimantan Tengah exports worth US$334.32 million, down 1.75 percent compared to July 2023

Abstract

The export value of Kalimantan Tengah in August 2023 reached US$334.32 million, down 1.75 percent compared to exports in July 2023, and down 33.89 percent compared to exports in August 2022.

Coal, palm oil, processed wood and zirconium ore are Kalimantan Tengah's main export commodities during August 2023.

China, Japan and India will be the main destination countries for Kalimantan Tengah's exports during August 2023.

Cumulatively, Kalimantan Tengah's export value fell by 8.0 percent, from US$3,840.75 million (January-August 2022) to US$3,533.62 million (January-August 2023).

The import value of Kalimantan Tengah during August 2023 reached US$12.23 million, an increase of 15.05 percent compared to July 2023 and an increase of 4.71 percent compared to August 2022.

Mechanical machines/aircraft, asphalt, and other electrical machines/equipment are the main commodities imported by Kalimantan Tengah during August 2023.

Malaysia, Singapore and Germany are the countries of origin for Kalimantan Tengah imports during August 2023.

Kalimantan Tengah's foreign trade balance in August 2023 experienced a surplus of US$322.09 million.
