July 2023, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 0.01% Deflation

·        July 2023, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 0.01 percent inflation and The Consumer Price Index is about 116.69. Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 77 cities experienced inflation and 13 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Manokwari by 1.43 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 121.37. Meanwhile the highest deflation occurred in Tual by 0.50 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 118.69.

·        Deflation in Palangka Raya was influenced by some kategories, the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.09 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.01 percent. Categories that have no changed are the health group; the information, communication, and financial services; and the food and beverage/ restaurant supply group.

Meanwhile inflation was influenced by the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.36 percent;  the education group by 0.35 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.02 percent; the household equipment and routine maintenance about 0.02 percent; the personal care group and other services group by 0.01 percent.

·        Inflation rate for  calendar year (January - July 2023) is 1.59 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (July 2023 against July 2022) is 3.32 percent.
