Abstract

Kalimantan Tengah's export value in May 2023 reached US$397.43 million, down 29.13 percent compared to exports in April 2023, and down 31.28 percent compared to exports in May 2022.
  • Coal, palm oil, lignite, zirconium ore and processed wood are Kalimantan Tengah's main export commodities during May 2023.
  • Japan, China and India are the main export destination countries for Kalimantan Tengah during May 2023.
  • Cumulatively, Kalimantan Tengah's export value increased by 0.26 percent, from US$2,421.53 million (January-May 2022) to US$2,427.74 million (January-May 2023).
  • Kalimantan Tengah's import value during May 2023 reached US$15.35 million, an increase of 158.85 percent compared to April 2023 and an increase of 2,796.23 percent compared to May 2022.
  • Machines for extracting fat/palm oil, asphalt and boilers are the main imported commodities for Kalimantan Tengah during May 2023.
  • Malaysia, Singapore and Laos are the countries of origin for Kalimantan Tengah imports during May 2023.
  • Kalimantan Tengah's foreign trade balance in May 2023 experienced a surplus of US$382.08 million.
