June 2023: Palangka Raya experienced inflation of 0.27 percent and Sampit by 0.26 percent

Abstract

In June 2023, the combined inflation for the City of Palangka Raya and Sampit was 0.27 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 117.41. Of the 90 CPI cities, 78 cities experienced inflation, while 12 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura by 1.36 percent with a CPI of 113.646 and the deepest deflation occurred in Sumenep by 0.42 percent with a CPI of 117.25.
  • The combined inflation for the City of Palangka Raya and Sampit in June 2023 occurred due to an increase in the price index in the transportation group (0.95 percent), the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.37 percent), the food and beverage/restaurant supply group (0. 36 percent), the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group (0.19 percent), the personal care and other services group (0.13 percent), and the education group (0.03 percent).
  • Calendar year inflation (June 2023 to December 2022) for the combined Municipalities of Palangka Raya and Sampit was recorded at 1.53 percent and year-on-year inflation (June 2023 against June 2022) was 3.55 percent.
  • Commodities contributing to inflation in June 2023 include air transportation, rice, broiler meat, purebred chicken eggs, cayenne pepper, tomatoes, ready-to-drink tea, green beans, garlic and jewelry.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation in June 2023 include gasoline, snakehead fish, long beans, salted eggplant, tilapia, lais fish, household fuel, Muslim women's clothing, wet shrimp and diesel.
