Abstract

· February 2022, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 0.01 percent deflation and The Consumer Price Index is about 108.50. Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 37 cities experienced inflation and 53 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kupang by 0.65 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 107.17 and the lowest inflation occurred in Tanjung Selor by 0.01 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 106.29. Then the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 2.08 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 109.20 and the lowest inflation occurred in Palembang by 0.01 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 107.54.
Deflation in Palangka Raya was influenced by the transportation group price by 1.93 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.54percent. While the group that experienced increase in the food and beverage/ restaurant supply group by 1.82 percent; education group by 0.96 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.71 percent; household equipment and routine maintenance about 0.48 percent; the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.39 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.24 percent; the personal care group and other services group by 0.19 percent; health group by 0.17 percent and clothing and footwear group by 0.05 percent.
Inflation rate for 2022 calendar year (January-February) is 0.61 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (February 2022 against February 2021) is 2.78 percent.
