July 2021: The number of sea and air freight passengers compared to June 2021, decreased by 78.36% and 82.57%, respectively

Abstract

The frequency of ship visits at ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region decreased by 13.74 percent, from 757 visits (June 2021) to 653 visits (July 2021).
  • The number of sea transport passengers decreased by 78.36 percent, from 33,526 people (June 2021) to 7,256 people (July 2021).
  • Freight traffic using sea transportation rose 11.59 percent, from 1.64 million tons (June 2021) to 1.83 million tons (July 2021).
  • Sea transportation passenger activities are concentrated in Kumai Port (86.03 percent), while the volume of goods flows at Sampit Port (13.97 percent).
  • Flight frequency decreased by 53.06 percent, from 1,323 flights (June 2021) to 621 flights (July 2021).
  • The number of air transport passengers decreased by 82.57 percent, from 93,450 people (June 2021) to 16,292 people (July 2021).
  • Freight traffic using air transportation rose 1.36 percent, from 1,033 tons (June 2021) to 1,047 tons (July 2021).
