May 2021: The number of sea and air transportation passengers decreased by 38.19% and 39.00% respectively compared to April 2021

Abstract

The frequency of ship visits at ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region decreased by 7.78 percent, from 758 visits (April 2021) to 699 visits (May 2021).
  • The number of sea transport passengers decreased 38.19 percent, from 25,164 people (April 2021) to 15,553 people (May 2021).
  • Freight traffic using sea transportation decreased 5.34 percent, from 1.50 million tons (April 2021) to 1.42 million tons (May 2021).
  • Sea transportation passenger activities are concentrated in Kumai Port (73.36 percent), while the volume of goods flows at Sampit Port (47.00 percent).
  • Flight frequency decreased 38.76 percent, from 1,148 flights (April 2021) to 703 flights (May 2021).
  • The number of air transport passengers decreased by 39.00 percent, from 69,917 people (April 2021) to 42,648 people (May 2021).
  • Freight traffic using air transportation decreased by 36.48 percent, from 965 tons (April 2021) to 613 tons (May 2021).
