Level of Inequality of Population Expenditure in Kalimantan Tengah September 2019 was recorded 0.335

Abstract

In September 2019, the level of expenditure inequality of the population of Kalimantan Tengah measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.335. This figure is down by 0.001 point when compared to the March 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.336. Meanwhile, when compared with the September 2018 Gini Ratio (0.344), a larger decrease was recorded, with 0.009 points.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2019 was recorded at 0.367, down by 0.006 points compared to the March 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.372. Compared to the Gini Ratio a year earlier, a lower decrease (0.002 points) was recorded at 0.369 in September 2018.
  • Meanwhile, Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2019 was recorded at 0.293, or decreased by 0.004 points compared to March 2019 and a greater decrease occurred by 0.025 points compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2018 which was recorded at 0.318.
  • Distribution of expenditure to the lowest 40 percent population group in September 2019 was recorded at 19.47 percent, or was at a low level of inequality. In terms of region, the distribution of the lowest 40 percent population expenditure in urban areas is 16.86 percent, or in the category of moderate inequality. Whereas in rural areas, the percentage of distribution was higher at 22.28 percent, and classified as low inequality.
