Abstract

The 2022 HDI increase occurs in all dimensions, both longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and a decent standard of living.
  • HDI growth in 2022 has accelerated from the previous year. All dimensions that make up HDI have increased, especially longevity and healthy living and a decent standard of living.
  • In the dimension of longevity and healthy life, babies born in 2022 have the hope of being able to live up to 70.04 years, 0.25 years longer than those born in the previous year.
  • In the education dimension, residents aged 7 years have an expectation of length of schooling (can undergo formal education) of 12.75 years, or almost equivalent to the length of time it takes to complete education up to Diploma I level. Meanwhile, the average length of schooling for residents aged 25 years and above increased by 0.01 year, from 8.64 year to 8.65 year in 2022.
  • The dimension of a decent standard of living as measured by the average real expenditure per capita (adjusted) increased by 276 thousand rupiah (2.47 percent) compared to the previous year.
