Abstract

May 2022, Palangka Raya Municipality Experiences 0.93 percent inflation and The Consumer Price Index is about 111.34. Out of 90 national CPI monitoring cities, 87 cities experienced inflation and 3 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 2.24 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 109.73 and the lowest inflation occurred in Tangerang by 0.05 percent with number of Consumer Price Index about 109.92.
Inflation in Palangka Raya was influenced by the recreation, sports, and culture group by 2.78 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.86 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 1.00 percent; the personal care group and other services group by 0.85percent; the food and beverage/ restaurant supply group by 0.80 percent; household equipment and routine maintenance about 0.63 percent; the household appliances, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.40 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.37 percent; transportation group price by 0.16 percent; and health group by 0.01 percent.
Inflation rate for 2022 calendar year (April-May) is 3.25 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (May 2022 against May 2021) is 4.86 percent.
