May 2022: Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah during May 2022 was 121.97, down 7.95 percent compared to April 2022.

Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

The Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah in May 2022 decreased by 7.95 percent compared to April 2022, from 132.50 to 121.97. This decrease was caused by the decline in the exchange rate in several sub-sectors, namely the people's plantation sub-sector (12.36 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (0.25 percent). Meanwhile, other sub-sectors experienced an increase in the exchange rate, namely the livestock sub-sector (1.41 percent), the horticulture sub-sector (1.35 percent) and the food crops sub-sector (0.09 percent).

In May 2022 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.92 percent, which was mainly due to an increase in the price index for the food, beverage and tobacco group (1.24 percent), the clothing and footwear group (0.77 percent). ) and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups (0.72 percent).

Similar to NTP, Kalimantan Tengah's Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in May 2022 also decreased by 7.87 percent, from 132.89 (April 2022) to 122.43 (May 2022).
