Abstract

Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, 61 cities experienced inflation and 29 cities experienced deflation during July 2021. The highest deflation occurred in Manokwari (0.60 percent) and the highest inflation was in Sorong (1.51 percent). Palangka Raya is ranked 37th city of inflation, while Sampit is the city with the lowest inflation in the ranking of 61st city of inflation.
  • Inflation in Palangka Raya (0.12 percent) was influenced by an increase in the index of the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.27 percent), the clothing and footwear group (0.25 percent), and the recreation, sports and culture group (0.24 percent). percent).
  • Inflation in Sampit (0.01 percent) was influenced by an increase in the personal care and other services group (0.49 percent), the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups (0.20 percent), as well as the information, communication, and financial services (0.09 percent).
  • Based on the two reference cities (Palangka Raya and Sampit), Central Kalimantan experienced inflation (0.08 percent), calendar year inflation rate (1.31 percent), and year-on-year inflation rate (1.41 percent).
