Abstract

  • Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, 37 experienced inflation and 53 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Meulaboh (0.88 percent) and the highest deflation was in Kupang (0.91 percent). Palangka Raya is in the 7th rank of deflationary cities at the national level and Sampit is in the 10th rank of deflationary cities at the national level.
  • Deflation in Palangka Raya (0.55 percent) was influenced by lower prices in the food, beverage and tobacco (3.09 percent), education (0.83 percent), and clothing and footwear (0.43 percent) categories.Deflation in Sampit (0.43 percent) was influenced by a decrease in the price index for the food, beverage and tobacco category (1.41 percent), housing, water, electricity, and household fuels (0.33 percent), as well as equipment, equipment. , and household routine maintenance (0.32 percent).
  • Based on the two reference cities (Palangka Raya and Sampit), Kalimantan Tengah Province experienced deflation of 0.50 percent, a calendar year inflation rate of 0.43 percent, and a year-on-year inflation rate of 1.63 percent.
