March 2020, Kalimantan Tengah's Inequality Declines to 0.329

Abstract

In March 2020, the disparity in expenditure between residents in Kalimantan Tengah Province as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.329 points.

This figure rose by 0.006 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2019 which amounted to 0.335 points.

The Gini Ratio in urban areas was recorded at 0.361 or down by 0.006 points compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2019 which amounted to 0.367.

The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2020 was recorded at 0.289 points, or down by 0.003 points compared to September 2019.

The distribution of expenditure in the lowest 40 percent population in March 2020 was recorded at 20.44 percent, or at a low level of inequality.

In terms of region, the distribution of the lowest 40 percent of the population in urban areas is 18.39 percent, or is in the category of low inequality.

Whereas in rural areas, the percentage of distribution is higher at 22.44 percent and classified as low inequality.
