Abstract

Human development in Kalimantan Tengah continues to progress. In 2019, the Kalimantan Tengah Human Development Index (HDI) reaches 70.91. This figure increased by 0.49 points or grew by 0.70 percent compared to 2018.

Babies born in 2019 have hopes to live up to 69.69 years, 0.05 years longer than those born the previous year.

Children in Kalimantan Tengah who are 7 years old in 2019 have the hope of being able to enjoy education for 12.57 years (almost equivalent to the period of education to complete Diploma I level), 0.02 years longer than those of the same age in 2018 .

Kalimantan Tengah residents aged 25 years and over have on average been educated for 8.51 years (almost equivalent to the period of education to complete grade IX), 0.14 years longer than the previous year.

In 2019, the people of Kalimantan Tengah will fulfill their daily needs with an adjusted average per capita expenditure of 11.24 million rupiah per year, an increase of 305 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year's expenditure.
