Abstract

The number of guests staying at star hotels fell 0.58 percent, from 26,291 people (November 2019) to 26,138 people (December 2019). While the number of guests staying at non-star hotels rose 3.73 percent, from 62,011 people (November 2019) to 64,322 people (December 2019).
  • During 2019, the number of guests staying at star hotels rose 5.45 percent, from 272,851 people (January-December 2018) to 287,719 people (January-December 2019). In contrast, the number of guests at non-star hotels fell 7.51 percent, from 733,096 people (January-December 2018) to 678,024 people (January-December 2019).
  • Room occupancy rate (ROR) of star hotels fell 2.52 points, from 58.46 percent (November 2019) to 55.94 percent (December 2019). In the same period, the ROR of non-star hotels also fell 0.70 points, from 24.48 percent (November 2019) to 23.78 percent (December 2019).
  • The average length of stay (RLTM) in star hotels (1.43 days), longer than those in non-star hotels (1.17 days).
