During April 2019, the number of guests staying at star hotels dropped by 3.09%

Abstract

The number of guests staying at star hotels dropped by 3.09 percent, from 25,828 people (March 2019) to 25,030 people (April 2019). The number of guests staying in non-star hotels rose 1.66 percent, from 55,942 people (March 2019) to 56,869 people (April 2019).
  • Cumulatively, the number of guests staying at star hotels rose 3.74 percent, from 90,606 people (January-April 2018) to 93,994 people (January-April 2019). In contrast, the number of non-star hotel guests fell by 14.02 percent, from 245,680 people (January-April 2018) to 211,244 people (January-April 2019).
  • Star hotel room occupancy rates fell 6.14 points, from 62.88 percent (March 2019) to 56.74 percent (April 2019). Non-star RORs rose 0.77 points, from 21.47 percent (March 2019) to 22.24 percent (April 2019).
  • Average length of stay (RLTM) star hotel (1.52 days), longer than non-star hotel guests (1.24 days).
